The Origin of Their Passion

Sade and Ian Watts' love for the outdoors began at a young age. Growing up in Australia, they spent countless hours exploring the bush, hiking with their families, and learning about the importance of preserving the natural world. Their parents, who were both avid hikers and environmentalists, instilled in them a deep appreciation for the land and a desire to protect it.

"It was our parents who sparked our love for the outdoors," says Sade. "They took us on road trips, camping trips, and hiking trips, and we would explore the bush, learn about the plants and animals, and just enjoy being outside together as a family." This early exposure to the natural world had a profound impact on both Sade and Ian.

Ian agrees. "As kids, we were fascinated by the wildlife and the ecosystems. Our parents would take us on hikes and we would see the most incredible sights – kangaroos, wombats, platypus – and we would learn about the different plants and animals and how they all fit together."

Their Journey to Becoming Hiking and Environmental Advocates

As they grew older, Sade and Ian's passion for the outdoors only intensified. They began to explore more challenging trails, undertaking intricate backpacking trips and stone journeys that tested their physical and mental limits.

The Watts couple started their adventure journey after gaining experience from working as environmental guides at the Fjällräven store in Melbourne premises. Sade and Ian furthered to move beyond adventure: now their mantra so firmly shredded the couple invited fellow community members on tours to the furthest areas near wilderness.
